It is not uncommon for patients who are s/p concussion and/or have experienced traumatic brain injury to experience blurry vision while reading and/or at the computer due to accommodative insufficiency and/or convergence insufficiency. Such cases are well documented in the peer reviewed medical literature (see medical references below).
These conditions are most commonly treated with glasses, with or without prisms, based on exam findings. If glasses do not relieve symptoms, vision therapy with an optometrist who specializes in disorders of binocular vision is usually helpful, although it may take several months of vision therapy to regain the ability to focus for more than a few minutes at a time when reading or using the computer.
